Academy Trust

CVPS is managed by an Academy Trust, comprised of parents, teachers and other local people who live and/or work in Cramlington and who are committed to providing the best school for our children.

CVPS Trust is a charitable company limited by guarantee, with Articles of Association.

The Trust has two layers of governance:

  • The members, who operate at a strategic level with ultimate control over the direction of the Trust
  • The governors, with responsibility for day-to-day management and operation of the school

Trust Members:

  • Oversee the achievement of the objectives of the company
  • Take part in Annual and Extraordinary General Meetings
  • Appoint some of the governors
  • Sign off the company‚Äôs financial accounts and annual report
  • Exercise power to amend the Articles of the company and, ultimately, to remove the governors
