Our whole school visit to St Nicholas Church to celebrate Harvest Thanksgiving.
We were so proud to share some of our learning about harvest thanksgiving with our parent community at St Nicholas Church this week on Wednesday. The children were amazing, and did a fabulous job with songs, prayers, talking stories and we have collected so many tins, and packets of food to contribute to the local food bank.
What a lovely celebration of thanksgiving at the end of a very busy half term packed with fun experiences as well as lots of learning.

Homework Update
Well done to the children using KS1 homework club, and doing some of their homework in the out of school club at Little Angels this week, as well as those completing it at home. We have seen lots of improvements in the quality and timeliness of children’s completion of homework!
To further support KS2 there will be a Tuesday lunchtime homework club from Tuesday the 13th November for those pupils who have not completed their homework, allowing them to complete it by the Wednesday submission dates.
Bye Bye Gavin
This week we say a very sad goodbye to Gavin Scott. Gavin has worked as a regular parent volunteer in our school since it opened in 2012. He spent most of his time in the great outdoors supporting our forest school delivery. He has been a valued member of the team, and will be missed by all the staff and children. We hope you’ll keep in touch Gavin as we’re really going to miss you!
Forest School hoodies
We now have our new forest school hoodies in stock straight after half term. Please let your class teachers know on the order forms at the end of this letter if you would like to order one.
Ashleigh’s outdoor ideas:
During half term holiday try a family walk and let the children be in charge of the directions for at least five minutes. Encourage your child to use geographical vocabulary left, right and compass directions. I look forward to hearing about your adventurous expeditions.
Happy Half Term Holiday
We break up for our autumn two week break from today and return to school on Monday the 5th November at the usual start time of 8.30pm.
