Wraparound Childcare
Our own bespoke wrap around care is designed for working parents. We offer high-quality, flexible and affordable childcare.
The Breakfast and After-School Club are operated and managed by the school - some staff also work at school during the school day.
We provide comparable childcare fees, flexible booking and high quality care for our children at CVPS from Nursery to Year 6, giving working parents peace of mind and the convenience of a single drop-off from 7.30am and collection at 6pm from school (5pm on a Friday).
Before School Club - 7:30-8:20am
We are incredibly proud to be the only school in Cramlington who offers a free breakfast club. BSC runs out of our School Hall. The core principle of BSC is that children have full tummies and have fun, ensuring that they are ready for the school day. Our BSC is supported by Greggs who provide a nutritional mix of foods for children to choose from. The children receive a warm welcome from supervising teaching assistants that the children will see elsewhere in school throughout the day. The children have lots of fun activities to choose from, such as craft, toys, reading and games. We finish with a story or singing each day. At the end of the session, children are escorted to their classrooms.
Once you have completed the registration form for breakfast club there is no need to book a place, simply bring your child to the main entrance doors to register them each day.
After School Club: 3.30–6pm
ASC runs out of our Creative Hub classroom next to the Hall and benefits from the use of school facilities and our extensive playground and field.
Our aim is to help children develop their full potential through positive, social, emotional, physical and intellectual experiences as they take part in a variety of craft activities as well as indoor and outdoor play. We provide contrasting areas; children can be quiet in the book corner or at the craft table, or let off steam on the playground with bikes or with a game of football. The friendly, nurturing atmosphere and stimulating activities in a safe environment enable the children to relax after a busy day of learning. Children are collected from their classrooms and upon arrival they have time for a drink and healthy snack brought from home. They then have the opportunity to simply relax and unwind under the supervision of our qualified teaching assistants or, if they wish, to take part in the many activities on offer including painting, craft, drawing, forest school adventures and football. When the weather allows, we like to encourage the children to make the most of our fabulous site and play outdoors.
Parents/carers can provide a light snack to eat on arrival for all ASC sessions. A home packed tea is required if you would like your child to eat at the after school club. Please ensure that this does not include anything containing nuts, as we are a nut free school. ASC light snacks and home packed teas should be sent into school in a packed lunch bag. We will then store these in a separate, safe space.

Bookings for ASC are made in advance via the My Child At School (MCAS) app or by visiting www.bromcom.com, and payment should be made at the time of booking, or by contacting our Business Support team to arrange payment via the tax-free childcare scheme.
For safeguarding reasons it is essential that bookings for ASC are made in advance and that we are notified of any change of arrangements eg if a family member decides to collect a child once a booking has been made.
After School Club Booking and Collection Arrangements
- All bookings into ASC must be made and paid for in advance on MCAS by 2.30pm on the day of attendance at the latest. In order to make a booking you must have credit in your account. Please contact Mrs Ormston or Mrs Storey at the office if you have difficulties with your account.
- In exceptional circumstances (eg a family emergency or the last minute breakdown of childcare arrangements) a booking can be made by the office after this time. Please call on 01670 735177. MCAS messages or emails cannot be accepted for ASC booking as we are unable to guarantee that these will be read in time. Payment must be made for these bookings as soon as possible to ensure your account does not run into debt.
- If your arrangements change at the last minute and you decide to collect your child after an ASC booking has been made please let us know to prevent us from invoking our Missing Child Procedure.
- To collect your child please come to the main reception and press the ASC bell. A staff member will bring your child to you. Please let us know in advance if someone else will be collecting your child. They will need your password if you have one in place for collection.
- Safeguarding will always be our highest priority and we will not release a child to anyone under the age of 16 or to anyone we feel presents a safeguarding risk.
- Please ensure your child is collected by 6pm. Late collection will incur a charge of £30.
There is parking available around the roundabout outside of the school gates but there unfortunately no parking available on the school site at the beginning or end of the school day.
